Activities
My history on two wheels is probably similar to many of yours. I started on a 50cc Vespa (which a small part of me still misses) and then on to Japanese sports bikes with ever-increasing engines before buying a ‘project’ custom cruiser, which like most projects remains unfinished. In the middle somewhere was a break from riding due to family, finances, sensibility etc. However, a Harley was always the dream so once the kids had left home and my career felt settled (otherwise known as a mid-life crisis) I found myself as the owner of a shiny black Forty-Eight which I absolutely loved, apart from the teeny-tiny fuel tank! Anyone who’s owned a Forty-Eight knows what I’m talking about. To be honest I wish I still had the Forty-Eight but that said, I’m not giving up my Heritage Classic anytime soon. Away from riding, Janet and I have been married for 37 years. Our children Joanna and Peter are both married and live nearby and we have one granddaughter. We love getting away in our VW campervan with our dog, Pepsi, whenever possible. I am hugely excited to be taking on the role of Activities Officer and hope to do a good job.
